Round Penang Island on 11-Mar-2009

Taken my colleague – Narayan round Penang Island on Wednesday 11-Mar-2009… with my boss and Missy…. kaka…..

First stop – Fort Conwallis… Entrance RM 3.00/pax…. I didn’t even been to here once for my stay in Penang so far… this is an eye open day to me… keke…..erm.. nothing much to be seen over here…. kinda rusty and old… well… well… it should be… after they have been preserving it for so many years… almost 100 years I guess….

Cannon ball.. they kept in a room beside the big big cannon… there are a few left in the room…..

Next stop – Khoo Kongsi…. entrance RM 5.00/pax…It was said that Khoo Kongsi and other kongsi in town area belong to a clan… Chinese set up these clans were to protect chinese society in Penang before this… however, people yern for more… so they fight for the land in Penang among each other….. then they became the so call gangster of Penang…..

Third stop… Sleeping Buddha…Entrance Fee – FOC… YEAH!

Feed some fish in the pond… then left to Cocoa Butique in Kelawai road.. Narayan bought some chocolates for office staff… got durian flavour, chili flavour and coffee….. after that he got himself famous biscuit in Penang… Ghee Hiang biscuit… but cuz Narayan is a vegetarian… not much of choice for him….

Next stop… Vegetarian lunch…. yummy yummy….. we ordered some sweets… it is really sweets… got this one name Kesari… soft soft ei… like our kuih… not that sweet.. but not to my favour… keke….

Vegetarian Tandoori Chicken set…. cant finish it all as it is quite a big portion…

Number sixth stop – Komtar level 60 floor… scenery view… Entrance Free RM 15.00/pax… Nothing much to see there and it cost so much… not worth it at all… just see whole Penang… got 2 free post cards and 1 free drinks…thats it….

Next stop which is also the last stop… Kek Lok Si… Entrance Fee for Cable car RM 4.00/2 way/pax….

The status roof still under renovation… nothing much to see yet….

On the way down already…..

Tortise pool… there are still alot of tortise… but seems like no one take care of them already…. no one wash the pool… no one feed them… and they just feed themselves… with the flesh of their “friends”… it it so disgusting… *sigh*

When back to office to pick up my things…. what a tired day….. *phew*..
