My holiday post #7: Adelaide here I come!
After so long I’m still stucked in my AUS post.. sorry la.. damn busy you know? I still got so many things to blog about.. but pending cuz no time P.S (photoshop) all the pictures.. Don’t want to upload too many pictures so I have to combine them into 1… that needs time.. lots of it
Please click for a bigger and clearer view for all my P.S pictures ya…
Woke up early and went to Swanston St to buy souvenir for mom… then bought Chicken Parma sandwich for our breakfast. It tasted really nice. No picture for it cuz we ate it when we walked to Southen Cross Station. No extra hand to take out my camera for picture. lol…
Pei San accompanied us to Southern Cross Station for we were departing to Adelaide via Melbourne Airport.. So long our Melbourne holiday… so sad to leave Melbourne cuz I really love Melbourne.
Since we were taking budget airlines – Tiger Airways… so we have to check-in via their budget terminal T4 @ Melbourne International Airport… the terminal was really small… hmm… while waiting.. I saw a few people got some “eggs” of spongebob. Norrr the “eggs” where you put $1/$2 coins in the vending machine and will come out some keychain/handphone charms…
Spongebob is one of my favourite cartoon characters.. so I went to try my luck… used up $2 coin… but just got Patrick… so I asked Missy to try out hers. Turned out she got a spongebob design.. >.< so bad luck for me
Reached Adelaide airport was 1pm their local times.. Adelaide was 1.5 hours ahead of Malaysia during that time. Cute Angelynn, Kind Dancy and Great Sean were waiting for us already in her Honda Jazz. They fetched us to a furniture shop as they wanted to get a new furniture for their new house.
Then we went for our lunch – Dim Sum in Adelaide town:
After lunch.. it was drizzling already. Cute Angelynn drove us around Adelaide city for a close up look. Adelaide city was really a small town. 1 round less than 30 min drive. lol…
We stopped by Rundle street for a few hours of window shopping. Some city views:
We walked to Rundle Mall, South Australia Museum, University of Adelaide, etc. Can see lots of church along the way. When we were entering SA Museum, the guard told us we left 10 minutes for the visits. LOL.. we finished touring the Museum in less than 5 minutes. Lol… very empty there… luckily it was free-of-charge aka FOC.
>> Outside Rundle Mall there was a few cute piglets. Damn cute ler. And they are alright to put it on the street. Cool man!
Love this plant very much:
Next we drove to Gleneg Beach, where we met funny Robin + Vivien.. Robin is a friend of Angelynn, Dancy and Sean. And Vivien is Robin’s younger sister. So naturally they hang out together
It was really windy and cold @ Gleneg beach. We were all frozen. Missy said Gleneg Beach was nicer than St Kilda Beach @ Melbourne. Lol…probably when we went to St Kilda the weather was too hot. Don’t like it as well .. but the angmo loved it.. >.<
>> Look at Missy’s hair… too windy till the hair was so messy.. lol..
Angelynn and Dancy were freezing there. They just wore a thin clothes cuz the weather was fine in the morning. They didn’t expect a sudden change in the weather. lol…
Dinner time @ a Greek restaurant. Pardon my pictures here cuz I didn’t use the correct mode. It was in shutter mode when I snapped it… When I realized, it was too late
>> The dinner was great. Missy and I shared our meal as usual as it was way too big portion for us. I really salute the rest for finishing their dinner by themselves. >.< Big salute to Angelynn, Vivien and Dancy…
Anyway, we found the lemon lime bitters drink (same bottle, same design) in Cold Storage Ikano Power Centre KL … but can’t see it in Cold Storage Gurney Penang >.< It tasted more gassy than self-made lemon lime bitters Pei San ordered when we had our dinner at one Itallian shop @ Lygon Street.
Ok.. dinner done. Next destination was Mount Barker. A hill top for Adelaide night view.
By the time we reached Sean’s house was around 10pm already…stay tuned for his new house pictures.. will be uploaded in my next post. Damn cool house ler…. We sat down @ Sean’s kitchen for cocktail tasting and chit-chatting…
Slept at 2am.. drop-dead-tired again…
Angelynn said we only stopped by Adelaide for 1.5 days… so everything would be very rush for us… sad sad.. stupid Tiger Airways changed our flight la! We were supposed to stay in Adelaide for 2.5 days… *cry* Sorry ya Angelynn & Dancy… will visit you girls again next time

This Is It – Michael Jackson Movie
I’m not a MJ fans.. not at all…. but after he died I felt so bad … it is a lost for the music industry of losing such a legend.. ya.. MJ was a legend… everyone knew about this.. His knowledge in music, the way he treated his colleague, etc…
The bad rumours about him which crushed his whole life… that is such a sad news
But anyway, this movie is the last movie of MJ that you can watch in cinema… they make this video clip into a movie as it was the last rehearsal before his London tour…
Those got the chance to work with MJ for the last time were very very lucky… the dancers, the band, the producer, etc…
It was really a touching movie… as expected, I cried when the movie started… >.< You can feel the spirit of MJ was really there… he was working very hard for the concert. Can feel it in him. So touching. So sad for the loss.
Rest in peace MJ. Will definitely miss you lots.

Langkawi Trip with family on 10-Oct-09
This post was supposed to come out last week..but I was really too busy hanging out with sis and I still got at least 10 more post for my Australia trips >.<…
Some bad news first:
Sister suggested for a holiday @ Langkawi on August 2009… I’m supposed to book the hotel online… this particular night, I placed the order online via the hotel’s website… but connection got problem… so the website hung for a while… but the order went through and my credit card was charged as well… I called to the hotel to have a check, they said they can’t view any online information if I just placed my order.. need to wait 48 hours… erm…alright… since I got the email notification.. then is alright… probably call back again… which I didn’t … and I also didn’t notice the check-in date was wrong. Yes! It is freaking wrong! I didn’t know that till I want to check-in…
So how? Pay for the rooms again la @_@ Damn it! Damn sui la… Garden view Deluxe room with discounted price also RM 147 per room…. lucky the person-in-charge gave me the discounted price… else I’m gona hang myself… even with RM 147 x 2 (cuz we ordered 2 Deluxe rooms)… so I have to fork out RM 294… damn sui la…
Ok…there goes the bad news…continue back to my holiday… a short get-away with my family…
We took a boat from Penang to Langkawi… I have to say… it sucks… felt so dizzy and nausea from Penang to Langkawi… >.<
We rented a Naza Citra … cost us RM 160 until the next day 5pm… >.< expensive la… but what to do? no car d..
By the time bro-in-law settled the paper works for the car rental, it was almost 1pm d… so we drove to Underwater World there to have our lunch…

>> Baby was busy drinking the cold fruit juice.. I also forgot to snap the pictures of our lunch… waited too long for the food d… and it was just malay mamak food.. so didnt really have the urge to snap it.. lol…
After lunch, we went to Underwater World… for RM 28 (Mykad holder).. I can say it was really worth the view… compared to the AQWA I went in Perth Australia (which I will blog about it soon)..

>> They have a lot of different animals in here… penguin, seal, otter, stingray, turtle, live corals, clown fish, etc…

>> Tested different shutter speeds again.. lol…
Baby was kinda tired already.. so headed to our hotel… check-in with extra RM 294 charges… reason please view above…
Oh ya! We stayed in Awana Porto Malai hotel..the environment was very nice…cozy and simple… Deluxe room got 2 queen size beds.. niceee

>> The garden view from our rooms… both rooms were connected to each other.. special request… baby loved it cuz he could run here and there… lol…
Baby took his afternoon nap…so did we…
After he woke up, we went to have our dinner and shopped for some souvenirs…
The next day.. we woke up around 8 in the morning.. thought of bringing baby for a swim… but the weather wasn’t very good…had been raining from 8-10am.. >.<
So we packed our things ready to check out.. we took pictures in the hotel balcony and room.. then walked to the back of the hotel for photo taking…
Since the rain stopped… sis wanted baby go to play water…he loved water very much…look at his happy face… cuz the laugh was so precious, I posted all up one by one without editing it..
Results of refusing to come up from the pool – Cry out loud:
>> See his angry look on his face? Like wanted to smack me d for changing him @_@ Hey I’m not the one bring you out of the water
I went to check out… and see his tired and sleepy face:
Since we got a lot of time left till we boarded the boat… so we went for some final shopping.. sis bought lots of chocolate for her Arab friends…
Final stop… the super huge eagle:
Took the boat back to Penang @ 5.30pm… reached Penang 8.30pm >.< damn slow la!
There goes my weekend ..tiring but enjoyable….

Daorae dinner with family
Sister wanted to eat korean food… and she saw from my blog about Daorae… so she suggested we go there for our Friday dinner….
I waited very long for them cuz bro-in-law was working late… by the time I reached Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant, it was 7.30pm… with a few people in line… and full house! WOW! What was so special today that everyone went for korean food? >.<
Anyway… I waited for awhile…I really wanted to take the upstairs tatami type seat… but they were all taken… and I didn’t really want to wait.. so I just got the normal table for 4
Finally they arrived…. so I just ordered 2 BBQ – Soy sauce seasoned pork and spicy seasoned chicken, 1 Kimchi-Jjirae and 1 ginseng chicken soup.
They gave us complimentary steam egg and small size pan cake.. niceeeee
I really like to dine-in at Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant… the service is good, the environment is very cozy, the food is nice…. the best part? They gave 9 small plates of appetizers… korean food is famous for their small plate appetizers.. especially the kim chi plate.. niceeeeeee
Another best part? Free flow of tea for every order… and free flow of vege if you order BBQ … cool? Yes I think so
My besties kept suggesting me to have the Kimchi-jjirae @ Chang Chun Guan..cuz it is better than Daorae… It is situated just opposite Daorae… I have never been there seriously … cuz I really really like Daorae…
Reasons?
1. Chang Chun Guan’s food is much more expensive
2. They do not provide the small small appetizers like Daorae did for FOC… they charge 1 small plate for RM 3 @_@ I know.. really crazy…
3. The best seller – Kimchi-jjirae is the best… but they do not come with 1 free rice which Daorae does…
Say me unfair or being bias or calculative, but come on la… Chang Chun Guan charges you for everything you order… erm….sure dine-in at Daorae better right? You all agree with me right?
but seriously … I really can’t complain much on Daorae as this is the best Korean Restaurant I’ve tasted so far (please don’t compare having such food in Korea.. there is the origin of all korean food in Malaysia.. sure there will be so much nicer
)… now I’m giving free advertorial to Daorae… lol…
I’m sure I will test out how does Chang Chun Guan’s food taste like… but not so soon… currently need to save more money… lol…

Dinner @ CRC – Bro-in-law’s birthday
Sis suggested to have our dinner @ CRC aka Chinese Recreation Centre to celebrate bro-in-law’s birthday… actually I suggested to her why not have our dinner at the Taiwan Delight around CRC corner.. she said that bro-in-law prefers CRC… so it’s alright for me (sure la.. I don’t have to pay one ler.. somemore complain/suggest so much meh? >.< )
Bro-in-law met us there after his work… so we went to fetch bb from his baby sitter there…
The appetizers of the night = peanuts @_@
As usual, bb couldn’t sit still… and kept making his naughty + cheeky face
>> See he used the rice bowl to drink water? He kept insisting on having it… so ma si gave him d lor… super naughty
>> See the rabbit hair band on his hand? It was on my sis’s hand.. but he wanted to put on his >.< just like a girl
While waiting for the food.. sure got photo taking session
>> taught him how to show his thumb
>> A kiss for the birthday dad which melted daddy’s heart
Finally our food was here! Damn hungry
Full! Great food… nothing to complain cuz really very tasty ![]()

My holiday post #6: Last day in Melbourne
This day has come.. today will be my last day in Melbourne … I’m sure going to miss Melbourne very very much… which is expected one… I miss Melbourne now!
Okie.. We went to Queen Victoria’s Market early 9am… we took a tram there… cost us $ 6.80 each person… It was a very good day today .. sunny day..
>> Pei San & I in the Melbourne tram…
The entrance of Queen Victoria’s Market… this market is more happening over the weekend..
We had our breakfast in Queen Victoria’s Market.. very famous German food – sausage and very nice here… and there was really a lot of people waiting to buy the food… it was really humungous :
>> Cost us $6.80 cuz we added extra cheese… the topping that you see – the yellowish one.. is seasoned vege in German style… sour sour one.. but very nice.. hehe…
We sat down to have our breakfast while Pei San met up with her friends a while…there was a lot of sections in this market… dry section, fish section, meat section, fruits & vege section, clothing section, etc… cool right?
>> Dry section… consisted of a lots of sausages and seasoned food here… I was scared to snap pictures cuz don’t know whether I can snap or not.. so just curi curi snap.. lol…
Then we walked to the fruits & vege section… the one I love most was their capsicum cuz “it” was really very very huge and fresh!
>> Saw a few lads snap openly so I also follow.. lol..
the strawberries looked so nice.. so we bought 1 box @ $1.50 only! Later on we found some other stalls selling even cheaper – 3 box only $ 4 only when it was almost time to close down… cool
Ok! Finally came to the entrance of the clothing section..girl’s favourite!
>> Didn’t really snap a lot here cuz nothing much interesting.. lol.. I prefer their fruits & vege section more..
Didn’t buy a lot of things there.. just bought some souvenirs and nougats… their nougats were a bit cheaper than in Malaysia
Saw this doughnut car… a lot of people was lining up… Pei San said that it was very nice and we ought to try… so we bought 2 pieces to try @ $1.80… really very nice lor .. got strawberry fillings… nicee…
We walked home to put down our things…then we went to St Kilda’s beach… yes, beach! This day was a good weather to go to beach
>> Correction here.. my last post mentioned that Pei San’s prepared cheese platter for us.. but it was actually today – this post, which after we went home… lol… miss d cheese platter too much.. lol
Anyway… the tram tickets we bought earlier were a daily ticket… so we can still use it multiple times in a day… we took a tram to St Kilda’s beach…
It was quite windy when we reached there… look at Missy‘s reaction then will know.. lol
I have no problem with the wind cuz I have my sunglasses on.. lol
Time for lunch.. we walked along the beach to the shoplots nearby… along the way, there was Luna Theme Park.. we didn’t go in cuz it was really small and there was a lot of bad comments on this Luna Theme Park
We were hunting for which shop to go for our lunch because there were just so many… and I want to eat salad… really need my vege intake
We finally concluded to dine in one of the restaurant which provided pie and salad.. lol…Missy ordered the chicken pie and I ordered Caesar salad! Yes!
Went back to Pei San’s house for a short nap.. lol.. woke up at 7pm for our dinner @ Lygon Street … gona meet up with Anthea
We simply chose one Italian restaurant for our dinner cuz Lygon street is famous for their Italian food…
Again I ordered chicken salad.. ya ya.. cuz I don’t like to eat so much meat.. Missy ordered Italian penne… super nice ler!
>> See I’m so fat compared to Anthea.. @_@
Lygon Street is not only famous for its Italian food.. it is also famous for its Italian Ice-cream – Gelati .. and also Brunetti – famous cake house!
That was around 9 something when we finished our dinner… we walked to the famous ice-cream shop which was recommended by someone – FREDO’s Ice-Cream… all the favourite ice-cream sold out >.< I just want to try their durian ice-cream la.. why so fast sold out one.. so I just simply ordered… and regretted so much cuz it was too sweet and I had to force myself finished it all … and to make things worst… Missy and I didn’t share this ice-cream.. meaning we ordered 2 FREDO’s ice-cream
cost us $ 4.80 each..
Then Pei San suggested that we walk to Brunetti.. she said the pastry there very nice and cute one.. Anthea also agreed on it
We were so full that we really couldn’t have any share of these nice and cute pastry.. but Pei San kept persuading Missy to try their tiramisu… so she bought one for a try… they even put it in a small container.. cute!
>> We didn’t manage to eat it that night… cuz really too full d… so we ate it the next day… it really tasted very nice
Phew… after so many blog posts of my Australia holiday… I next went to Adelaide after this Melbourne trip… so you guys stay tuned ya!

Movie Review: Surrogates
Suppose to watch it last week..but was too busy cuz sister just got home… and weekend I went to Langkawi… so..postponed till this week.. lol….
This movie is not like usual supposingly-nice-movie-turned-bad… it turned out to be a nice one..very creative… and interesting… the graphic and the storyline are quite interesting…
Ever wonder you will be getting a surrogate to do your daily chores? Ever wonder you can have a better looking body, better hairstyle, manicure everyday, etc etc… Do you want to have your own you to go out to the world without you leaving your house?Have you ever thought that when you met in an accident, you will feel no pain at all on you? Want such life?
If you want all these, then just get your own surrogate.. lol…
If you were given the chance to have your own surrogates, will you want it? If I were given a chance, I don’t want it! It is amazing to have another you.. but it is also creepy to have someone same face as you replacing you…. lol…
I asked Missy the same question..she has the same thought as mine.. lol… sure creepy to have another you right?
What do you think?
Synopsis:
FBI agents (Bruce Willis and Radha Mitchell) investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves – fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles – enabling people to experience life from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers for who’s real and who can you trust.
