Movie Review: The Hunger Games

This wasn’t my choice when I was at the cinema… I’m thinking of watching “Wrath of the Titan”… but the timing was not right… so just choose to watch this… since it looks very popular…
The movie actually make it very futuristic, where rich people will control the poor people. Same for “The Hunger Games”, the rich people will organize “Hunger Games” every year to kill the poor people & threaten them.
The main actress are one of the contestant for “The Hunger Games” as the first volunteer in order to protect her sister from going to the game. In the game, she has to fight with other contestants to stay alive.
Well, I find the story quite interesting. However, a lot of action parts were very shaky. Can’t really see the fighting scene properly. More like feeling dizzy when you concentrate on the fighting scene for too long.
Anyway, it nice to watch it. Should go check it out. Or best is you can dl it
Rate: B+ cuz of the shaky scene ^.^
Synopsis:
Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Movie Review: The Viral Factor

Nearly forgotten I have this movie review blog haven’t post :p
Actually I didn’t plan to watch this and friend & I were not really a big fan of Jay Chou. However, there weren’t much nice movies to watch on CNY….
Feeling good is, some of the scenes in this movie were taken in Cameron Highland & also KL. The funny thing is the court Nicholas Tse attended and he ran away.. that’s our old train station.. bt they make it as a court scene thr >.< I see that most of the scenes were taken in KL… and the scripts have a mixture of Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Overall I felt this was quite a good show. Nicholas Tse’s acting skills are getting better. As for Jay Chou, nothing much because he doesn’t have much dialog in the show. He is always portray as the “quiet” one…
Synopsis:
Jon (Jay Chou), an International Security Affairs agent unites with his elder brother (Nicholas Tse) to stop an international blackmail to release a deadly virus.

My blog seems to be a movie review blogs already >.<|||
I like this! Especially Tony Leung is still so good looking in here.
Anyway, the story slowed down till the end. Not much of the excitement till the end.
However, it is still very interesting. Tony Leung and Lau Ching Wan were great actors. It’s a nice movie to watch. ^^
Synopsis:
A mysterious magician Zhang Xian (Tony Leung) catches the eye of local warlord, Lei Daniu (Lau Ching Wan), who hopes to use him to win the affections of Liu Yin (Zhou Xun), a woman he forced into being his seventh concubine. Movie Review: Flying Swords Of Dragon Gate

Friend wanted to watch this so we went for this during New Year’s eve weekend… but.. turned out this was a disappointing movie. No specialty in the story and the action was not interesting.
Really disappointed with the director’s – 徐克 movie nowadays. Can’t he produces some good movie like previously? *sigh*
Anyway, don’t watch this at cinema. A waste of money. The 3D totally sucks.

Movie Review: Mission Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol

I felt this one was not as good as the previous one… it shown that Tom Cruise is scared of height & he’s got hesitated on his attempt on dangerous actions.
I would rate this as a B-
However, some people will like it. I don’t see the beauty on this movie. :p
Anyway, it’s outdated blog. Therefore, if you haven’t watch it, just download it
Synopsis:
In the 4th installment of the Mission Impossible series, Ethan Hunt and his team are racing against time to track down a dangerous terrorist named Hendricks, who has gained access to Russian nuclear launch codes and is planning a strike on the United States. An attempt by the team to stop him at the Kremlin ends in a disaster, with an explosion causing severe destruction to the Kremlin and the IMF being implicated in the bombing, forcing the President to invoke Ghost Protocol, under which the IMF is disavowed, and will be offered no help or backup in any form. Undaunted, Ethan and his team chase Hendricks to Dubai, and from there to Mumbai, but several spectacular action sequences later, they might still be too late to stop a disaster.

Movie Review: Sherlock Holmes – A Game Of Shadows

It’s all about movies. The next movie I watched on Xmas week was non other than must-watch -> Sherlock Holmes II!
Well, it’s a nice show. Interesting, but, lack of fresh story lines that can arouse the audience.
Just like Moriaty’s secret, it was unlocked at the start of the show. Then the whole movie is about tracking him.
Hmm… although this is the losing part, but, it was a great show.
Synopsis:
Sherlock and Watson face arch-nemesis Professor Moriaty, who is conspiring to make a fortune at the expense of the rest of the world. As Sherlock and Watson unravel the dastardly plot as they travel across Europe, they unlock Moriaty’s secret- the manufacturing of next-generation weapons. Sherlock and Watson must stop this great threat before Moriarty succeeds in provoking a World War.
