Movies Review: The Impossible

My company got free tickets for all of us to watch a show in Platinum Suite by Yahoo. First time in my life I have the chance to watch a movie in Platinum Suite. So excited~! Normal price is $38 >.<||

The cinema was way too dark so I didn’t manage to take pic. Anyway, the chair is so comfy!!! It’s a huge sofa where you can adjust to sleeping position when you watch the movie. So cool & relaxing!

However, we have chosen “The Impossible” because there weren’t any nice show to watch. *sigh*. Really a waste. If it delay a week longer, then we could have watch “Hansel & Gretal” 🙂

Anyway, the show was great. Really touching and it feels real. And… most of the girls cried. lol.

Not exactly worth to watch in the cineme, not to say a $38/show one. It’s really a nice experience to be in the platinum suite. 🙂

Come to think of it, putting ourselves in their shoes, will we ever make it in such disaster? Well, not everyone able to find back their loves one therefore please appreciate what we have and spend more time with our loved ones & family. ^^

Synopsis:

The real-life account of a family’s horrific ordeal, vacationing at a beach resort in Thailand when the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004 hit. Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts are the husband and wife, and Tom Holland, 14 at the time of production, is the eldest among the three boys (and amazing in a physically and emotionally demanding role). A daunting tale of survival and family from Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphange)

Movie Review: The Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn Part 2

Omg! This is the great of all! Not too much of the love story but it’s more on how they raise their daughter & protect her from being taken away by Volturi.

However, there was a twist in the movie than the original story. Nonetheless, it was nice!

Synopsis:

After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.

Movie Review: Skyfall

Image: impawards.com

I quite like this James Bond show. I think Daniel Craig did very good in here, compared to the previous 007 movies. This… you can see he’s old and he’s weak. However, his determination to save the world was there. Damn cool~!

Ya ya… this was an old post… cuz I’m busy adding Donnie Yen to be the latest post!!! ^^

Synopsis:

Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

Heard and saw many reviews that this was a good movie… went to watch it. It’s nice…but I didn’t really enjoy it cuz the cinema was freaking cold!! Ok… blame myself for wearing short pants to the newly renovated cinema >.<|||

You all should watch this…quite interesting… I kinda like Liam Neeson in here…. kinda cool to have such dad that work as an agent ^^

Synopsis:

Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a “particular set of skills” who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from kidnappers. When the father of one of the villains Bryan killed swears revenge, and takes Bryan and his wife hostage in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape. Movie Review: Resident Evil – Retribution

This is really disappointing. The story line is almost the same from part 1 till now. Kinda boring to have the same story line over and over again.

Well, not much of big hoohaa for this.Didn’t really impress me. The action all just as usual.

Rate: C

Movie Review: The Expandables 2

Watched this when I went back to Penang…It’s a big disappointment!!!

No special plot for this movie and the big attraction is only there are so many famous old actors in it >.<|||

The starting scene was totally not nice. The gun shooting of the soldiers causes the blood spilled like nobody business and it’s so fake!

Like I said, there is no story line. And Jet Li is only in there for the first 15 min of the show and he only got 4 scripts >.<|||

Epic fail!

Don’t watch it if you haven’t watch. Waste of time. If you want, go download it.

Movie Review: Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Heard my boss said that this was an interesting show so I just went to watch it. Well, turned out that it was quite interesting. Some scenes which were a bit shocking. Just felt a bit weird that Abraham Lincoln can also be a vampire hunter before he was the president. lol.

Rate: 7/10

Synopsis:

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of one of the greatest US presidents, and the untold story that shaped a nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.

Movie Review: Ice Age 4 Continental Drift

Cartoon show~! Watched it in JB…it was another people-mountain-people-sea-trip to JB…. *sigh*… took me 2hrs to reach City Square…. zzzz… lucky still got seats for this one…

Well… I don’t really favour cartoon show… but if compare with Madagascar 3: Europe Most Wanted, Madagascar really nicer… more colours and the story more touching…

The funniest part of Ice Age is still the Scart character. Others are just normal.

Well, the best for this show, it’s a kids show! Bring your kids to the cinema while it’s still showing~! Enjoy~ !

Synopsis:

Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid.
