Hong Kong Countdown of 2014

#throwback of my 2014 Hong Kong trip

It’s my first time celebrating new year in another country, other than Malaysia (which I have not done so in many years), or Singapore (the city which I’m living now). It’s a new experience for me and it was awesome!

The difference encounter for counting down in other country like HK, is that you need to be at the venue as early as 6pm. Yes, it’s 6pm! People already queue up and enter the premises at 6+. Imagine you have to wait until midnight. That is 6 hours wait. @@

As a first timer, I started my way out from hotel at 6pm. Went for dinner then walk towards the venue – Avenue of Stars. I was there at 8pm. It’s a 4hours wait. I did nothing, only waited patiently.

Around 10+, LINE started to distribute pom pom. It was really cool! The only disadvantage? You cant release the air once you pump them up. I have to poke a hole to release the air in order to bring them back. That means, I can’t pump them up again.

By then, it’s already people mountain people sea. It was really really crowded.

Oh well, for the fireworks, it’s all worth it.

I have to say, selfie stick really comes in handy at such time. Too bad I don’t have one. Can’t use them to take nice shot without being blocked by some other selfie sticks.

Nonetheless, really thank God that I’m being watched over and walking back to hotel was so easy. Have my first experience of walking on Hong Kong street with no cars on it and weather was so nice!  😀

Eat again in Hong Kong!

#throwback Hong Kong 2014 trip

This post is all about the food!

Hong Kong food

On my 3rd trip to HK, it’s all about slowing down and eat all I can. I ate in cha chan teng everyday, for their milk tea / noodle. The taste was so different with ours and theirs were really nice.

The roast chicken / pork / goose / duck were really yummy. But, it was quite expensive for the goose.

Roast delicacy

Walk into any of the dim sum shop and they all were so tasty. No need queue up for Michelin star dim sum at all. 😀

And we spotted this crepe shop just nearby our hotel, their durian crepe was really delicious. Especially for a non-dessert person like me, I have to say, this was really good.

Nothing to shout about for Macau food. It was quite expensive and crowded with tourists. I wouldn’t say it was a good experience to be there. But it’s just a “been there, done that” experience. I will not want to go back to Macau again. Not for the food, not for the casino, definitely not for the crowd.

And this mark the end of my HK food trip. Guess I won’t be going there anytime soon. Probably 5 years later? Guess I will only go there again for family trip to HK disneyland. 😀

Met Donnie Yen in Person!!!

I’m not a big fan of any actor / actress. So when my girl friend said she hopes to meet famous star in HK, I just laugh in my heart, thinking only if we are so lucky.

Well, in fact we are so lucky to meet Donnie Yen in person!! It happened so fast that I also don’t know what to say to him.

It was late Tuesday night and we were walking towards Lan Kwai Fong. I was walking on the right lane when I noticed some china guy taking picture with this guy. So I just turned over and saw Donnie Yen. I stopped my girl friend and we were so excited! I shouted my other friends but they just walked further away.

Nonetheless, we had our pictures taken that night, leaving the place feeling so satisfied.

Donnie Yen isn’t really tall in person, but he is sure super handsome and macho. He didn’t talk much, seems like he had a few drinks already. Still, he is so charming.

This is like a dream come true. So blessed on this HK trip. Happy *(^.^)*

My decision of a new life

Official updates on a new chapter of my life

For people who knows about me will know that I have made planning for a major changes for months on a totally different leap in my carrier after I back from my Australia trip in 2009… well… just to let you guys know, it is not going to happen.

Yes, I’M NOT MOVING THERE ALREADY! (Which is my initial plan )

I still miss Australia very very much.. miss the weather.. miss the places… miss the country.. miss everything about Australia… I know I will have the chance to go back there again… I’m sure I will make it back there one day 🙂

Probably to some people it is a waste to throw away my dreams… I know.. but I choose to settle down and there will be no regret… erm.. unless I was proven my decision to settle down is a wrong choice.. else I will never regret for making such decision to settle down here…

I’m really sorry to my best friend that I let her down… we made the planning together and we shared the same dream… but cuz of my own selfishness, I have given up everything…

What I really want to see is that she continues with her own dream and planning, even without me. It hurts me so much to see everything was gone in a blink of eyes. It is all my fault. Yet there is no turning back for me anymore… not at all already… I’m so sorry.. 🙁 Please proceed with your dreams and show me you can really make it.. live your life as excited as you wish it will be.. may God be with you all the time. You will always have my blessing no matter what. Love ya, babe!

To my best friends that really know me well, I thank you for giving such a great mental support to me all this while..whether I decided to move to some stranger country which is a new challenge to me or when I decided to settle down in Penang… You know you meant a lot to me…. I always scared that the incident few years back will break our friendship into pieces.. but it turns out my decision to stay down actually make us closer like before… I’m glad I have you back as the true sisters we used to be.. From the years of knowing you, I know you want nothing but to see me happy…thanks babe, I love you always! 😀

To my family: mom and sister, I know the decision I have made shocked you both.. but please trust me.. I know what I’m doing… besides, mom always want me to settle down in Penang… unless I can find a job in the country I’m going… Happy ending isn’t it? 😛

You guys will see the change in me… I might change to a person you don’t know at all… someone who is soooo happy with her life now… sooooo in love!

Ahem… main point is, I’m not going to proceed my oversea dreams… I always wanted to go… but I never know it is so hard till I tried it.. and now I’m not giving up because of the hard work I have gone through.. its just that I have found a reason for me to stay in Penang… A reason that I couldn’t resist… A reason of life that I have made… A happy ending reason as well…

And Thanks to You I found the reason… I never regret the choice I have made to give up my dreams… Besides, I know that I can always travel to different parts of the world with you.. Paris, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Venice, Switzerland, UK, etc..

Yes, I’m with someone now and he is the reason I’m staying…  🙂
