Movie Review: About Time

This was a really meaningful, touching & funny movie. It’s a slow pace’s love story.

Somehow we as a human tends to forget this simple rules – Live everyday to the fullest, be in the best form everyday because there is no replay in live. You cannot have the super power to go back to the past to change your history.

This is a very simple application but we just ignore it. Career, lives, gadget etc…. they are more important than our own happiness.

So, what is more important to you? Own happiness or other material stuff? You make your choice.

Rachel Adams is so cute in there, especially from the start she said about her new bangs… which is exactly what I just did before I went for the movie 😀

Synopsis:

The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim’s father (Bill Nighy) tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. Tim can’t change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life – so he decides to make his world a better place… by getting a girlfriend. Sadly, that turns out not to be as easy as you might think.

Movie Review: Oblivion

Hmm… this one… doesn’t have really clear story line & a bit confusing.

My friend already preempt me b4 I go to watch that the movie is not nice. I think I went to watch it with not much of expectation, and the movie turned out to be quite ok. 🙂

However, some part of the movie very confusing. Some people might need to google for the storyline to understand the whole story fully.

Anyway, you can download it instead of watching it in cinema 😀

Synopsis:

A court martial sends a veteran soldier to a distant planet, where he is to destroy the remains of an alien race. The arrival of an unexpected traveler causes him to question what he knows about the planet, his mission, and himself.

Movie Review: The Host

This is a futuristic movie where the parasite stays in human body and controls their mind to make a better world.

The main lead – Melanie is caught by the “Alien” and the parasite in her body is off pure soul. The parasite helps her to get away from the “Alien” and found her brother & boyfriend.

It’s really a touching story where I cried for so many times in the movie >.<|| Didn’t expect this to happen from the trailer. So sad, so touching but definitely worth to watch it.

Synopsis:

THE HOST is a riveting story about the survival of love and the human spirit in a time of war. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed.

Movie Review: GI Joe Retaliation

I’m quite excited to watch this before it came. So I rushed for it after I came back from Guang Zhou.

However, I’m super disappointed with the movie, due to -> *spoiler time* CHANNING TATUM DIED!! Omg! He only appear for the first 10 minutes then he’s gone. Left behind all new character like Dwayne Johnson & Bruce Willis.

This sequel also has more scenes for Storm Shadow (Byung-Hun Lee). He is still so good looking! And his body is awesome!

Other than that, it’s just a lot of action packs, which didn’t entice me cuz it’s not nice without Channing Tatum. *sigh*

Anyway, if you are into action pack, you could consider watching it. If not, go for downloads! 😀

Synopsis:

A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO, commenced the di Bonaventura production of G.I. JOE: RETALIATION.

In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner, from a screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe characters.

Movie Review: Jack the Gaint Slayer

Didn’t expect this to be a nice show but it turned out to be better than Oz the Great Magician!! And I watched it in RM 12 only as compared to the Oz I watched it in SGD 11. Heartache cuz Oz not nice and still I’m paying a higher price for the ticket. *Sad*

Anyway, this is done in a quite lively form. More interesting as compared to our childhood story book with the action on screen.

It’s good to watch this with kids. ^^

Synopsis:

An age-old war is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants.

Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the long-banished giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult), into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend…and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Acclaimed filmmaker Bryan Singer directs the 3D action adventure “Jack the Giant Slayer,” starring Nicholas Hoult as Jack. The film also stars Eleanor Tomlinson as Princess Isabelle; Stanley Tucci as the deceitful Roderick; Ian McShane as Isabelle’s father, the besieged King Brahmwell; Bill Nighy as General Fallon, the ferocious two-headed leader of the giant army; and Ewan McGregor as the loyal knight Elmont.

Movie Review: Hansel & Gretel, The Witch Hunter

I like Jeremy Renner and the trailer was awesome.

However, turned out that the movie not so interesting only. A bit boring. I actually thought Hansel & Gretel will have some special power like maybe they can fly / heal / immortal but they are just like normal human beings. Kick once already knocked out like normal human >.<||

A lot of computer graphic in this. A bit fake. And it was really short. However, it’s nice to watch if you have nothing to watch in the cinema. 🙂

Synopsis:

After getting a taste for blood as children, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches…their past.

Movie Review: CZ 12

Just like usual Jackie Chan’s movie, a lot of action & funny scenes. But the opening gear that Jackie Chan wore was really impressive. Maybe they should use that in 007. muahaha.

Anyway, nothing big to brag about. Still an acceptable movie.

Synopsis:

The film revolves around Asian Hawk in his final mission, in which he must collect the 12 statue heads of the Chinese Zodiac to save the world. One may remember that Chan used the Chinese Zodiac symbols as the basis for the first season of his animated series, JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES, back in 2000.
