Movie Review: The Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn Part 2

Omg! This is the great of all! Not too much of the love story but it’s more on how they raise their daughter & protect her from being taken away by Volturi.

However, there was a twist in the movie than the original story. Nonetheless, it was nice!

After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.

Movie Review: The Great Magician

My blog seems to be a movie review blogs already >.<|||

I like this! Especially Tony Leung is still so good looking in here.

Anyway, the story slowed down till the end. Not much of the excitement till the end.

However, it is still very interesting. Tony Leung and Lau Ching Wan were great actors. It’s a nice movie to watch. ^^

A mysterious magician Zhang Xian (Tony Leung) catches the eye of local warlord, Lei Daniu (Lau Ching Wan), who hopes to use him to win the affections of Liu Yin (Zhou Xun), a woman he forced into being his seventh concubine. Unbeknownst to him, Zhang is the fiance of Liu who has been waiting for him to rescue her. Zhang, who was hellbent on destroying Lei, discovers that the man behind the evil deeds is actually his head butler Liu. To defeat Liu and win back the heart of his love, Zhang pulls out his ultimate magic trick

Movie Review: The Shock Labyrinth: House Of Horrors

I’m not a horror movie person… but ngam ngam friend got buy 1 free 1 ticket for this movie at Wcinemax … so just went to watch it….

Well… it’s been awhile since I last watch a horror movie… some more in 3D….

End up… the whole cinema just the 2 of us… lol…. if is transformer then should be very nice la… but for a horror movie… even scarier…

But then… this movie don’t have much 3D effect… so… not really that scary till can make me shout…. quite bad lor for a horror movie…

Anyway, the movie is actually about the main actor’s own imagination…. all the ghost / etc also from his imagination… but I don’t understand how he killed his friend with his imagination… hmm….

If you are into horror movie, this won’t be a suitable one… cuz it is not so horror.

“The Shock Labyrinth: House Of Horrors” is about a group of teenagers dealing with the disappearance of a childhood friend, Yuki, who was last seen in an amusement park’s haunted house. On a rainy day, 10 years after the incident took place, Yuki inexplicably returns. However, soon after reuniting with her friends, she collapses, and the group rushes her to a nearby hospital. But things are not quite as they seem at the medical centre. As the night wears on, the group sinks deeper and deeper into the events from a decade ago that led to Yuki’s disappearance.

Movie Review: Legion

Didn’t expect this will be nicer than Universal Soldier… really nicer compare to Universal Soldier. heheh….

Overall, the main actor – Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany) not that handsome/leng cai… and his scripts also very little… he didn’t speak much… but.. he did a very nice act in here…

I don’t like Lucas Black… don’t like the way he talked.. like the tongue stick to the mouth like that..not nice… not yeng enough also.. when he acted in Tokyo Drift I already didn’t like him… now… lucky his screen time was also limited πŸ˜›

The action part… very nice..lots of action in here… and it was colourful.. unlike Universal Soldier all grey scale one… see oso not excited πŸ˜›

Anyway, should watch this compared to Universal Soldier πŸ™‚ Thumbs Up for Legion!

Movie Review: Universal Soldier: A New Beginning

Universal Soldier: A New Beginning

Saw this movie is available in cinema.. so decided to drop Legion and watch it first…

Turned out… I think I will like Legion more even thou I haven’t watched Legion πŸ˜›

Well.. reason being, the whole picture is in grey scale… not much colour… so boring… then Jean-Claude Van Damme’s fighting skills like kinda slow already… probably he is really old and his movement is no longer so active… so… it doesn’t really show his skills much… and he doesn’t have much dialog in this movie…

As for the fighting part… erm…. quite violent also lor… really can see the blood spilling all over =___=||| a bit gross

Overall the story is not bad. Not much of ang mo style..more like international screen.. lol… cuz half of the conversations were in French/Spanish/don’t-know-what-language πŸ˜›

There will be sequel for this movie… which sucks as well… unless they can come out a better story line πŸ™‚

I give a B… Not really a must-watch movie… but is alright to watch it πŸ™‚

Movie Review: Avatar 3D

I know I’m outdated. This is like two weeks ago’s movie. But I just watched this today. lol. Really never thought of watching it. But since there were so many good reviews, so… just went to watch lo.

And it must be in 3D. lol. 3D sure better than normal 2D one ma. πŸ˜›

I can only say: WOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!! The effects and actions were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo great! And the story was also so amazing. Though it was around 3 hours show, you couldn’t feel how the time flew… πŸ™‚

Really a very good movie forΒ  the year 2009. Niceeee….

“Avatar” is an emotional journey of redemption and revolution. The story tells of a wounded ex-marine, who thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, and eventually crosses over to lead an indigenous race in a battle for survival. Thus, combining the elements of massive spectacle and intimate character that made James Cameron’s “Titanic” the highest grossing film of all time.

Movie Review: Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes

I didn’t really have any expectation on this movie, except, it has Jude Law and Robert Downey JR. LOL. I bet everyone went to watch this movie cuz of them.I’m one of them. *wink*

The story line not that interesting. Just normal Sherlock Holmes investigation. The explanation on the investigation also very fast.

What I really like is that Jude Law and Robert Downey JR were two very good actors. You can really feel that they are both very good brothers. They acted it out so naturally and gracefully. Bravo! This is also a very funny movie. The jokes are really funny.

Well, for those who haven’t watch, don’t watch it with expectation. Watch it without expectation will make you feel the movie is nicer. lol.

After finally catching serial killer and occult “sorcerer” Lord Blackwood, legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson can close yet another successful case. But when Blackwood mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes his killing spree, Holmes must take up the hunt once again. Movie Review: The Storm Warrior II

The Storm Warrior II

Heard like 3 bad comments on this movie before I went to watch it… but that time I already got my tickets… so… have to watch it anyway…

Turned out… quite a disappointment … the really nice part is the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes… so the middle 1 hour was actually a waste of time…

The first 30 min: the part Nameless & Lord Godless (Simon Yam) fighting was interesting…hmm..impressive… as it was the best part you could find in the movie…

The middle part: The most boring part… on how Wind (Ekin Cheng) turned into a devil and Storm (Aaron Kwok) changed to be a better warrior… and that two ladies in the movie – Chor Chor and Dream (Charlene Choi) … don’t have much screen on them… and the whole movie was on fighting…then Lord Godless (Simon Yam) just died without fighting much with Wind and Storm… >.< He died by being frozen to death and fell to the floor and smashed into pieces like glasses… @#$@%^&**$## like that also can… >.< then hor… the most ridiculous part was the part Lord Godless’ son (Nicholas Tze) went to kill all civilians… they used comic effects… OMFG! So ugly and no style … =___=|||

The last 30 min: the part Wind (Ekin Cheng) and Storm (Aaron Kwok) fighting was interesting…

The ending: Storm (Aaron Kwok) died… OMFG! So lame… T.T.. the story ended just like that… !@#%&^**&%%##@# … then Lord Godless’ son (Nicholas Tse) also didn’t get any punishment.. >.<

Eventually, the starting was really excited… but it went draggy… then the ending sucks… became not nice…

I don’t watch Chinese movie anymore since 1 or 2 years ago… cuz Missy doesn’t understand AND there weren’t much chinese movies that were worth the watch… I thought The Storm Warrior II woulded be nice… manatau =__=||| What has happened to HK movies?

So much disappointment… tho I tried not to have any expectation … but it just sucks big time… Gosh!

Japanese evil warlord Lord Godless desired to conquer China. He imprisoned a large number of martial artists and tried to make them subjugate. Among the prisoners were Cloud and the martial arts elder statesman Nameless. Wind came to the rescue. The trio was badly wounded by Lord Godless’s evil martial arts attack. Chu Chu was also knocked out when she blocked Cloud from Lord Godless’s strike. The remaining martial artists sacrificed their lives to save the trio, in the hope that the trio would beat Lord Godless one day and save the country.

Chu Chu was badly wounded and stayed unconscious. Cloud was filled with remorse and vowed to take revenge. Wind chose to take the evil way to quickly boost up his martial arts skills, so that he could protect the people. During his training, he met the girl who changed his life, Dream. Meanwhile, the troop of Lord Godless came to attack. Wind’s training was interrupted when he tried to save Dream from Lord Godless’s assault. After some killings, Wind ran away and disappeared…

Lord Godless took The Emperor in captivity and stationed his troops in Heaven Cave. Cloud arrived alone and started a combat with Lord Godless. Lord Godless had the upper hand. In the meantime, the half-evil Wind appeared and joined the battle. During the fight, they inadvertently discovered the secret of the sovereign. The real intention of Lord Godless’s invasion was related to an ancient tomb, a forbidden ground buried with the Royal family’s secret. The truth was finally revealed. At last, how would the battle end? Who would eventually rule over the country?
